Cadence Conservatory is founded by classical guitarist Céili Connors, a Boston-based educator and alumna of the New England Conservatory. With more than fifteen years of teaching experience and a background in arts administration and nonprofit work, she brings a deep commitment to community building and accessible music education to the Brighton neighborhood. Through Cadence Conservatory, she hopes to create a welcoming hub for musicians and music lovers alike, and a place where community, artistry, and education come together in the heart of Brighton.
We are a small school that just opened in 2026! Women owned by a long time Brighton resident, who cares deeply about bringing the arts to the community. Please feel free to reach out about community events and partnerships!

An exceptional teacher who combines deep musical knowledge with clarity and patience. Every lesson is inspiring and focused, and I always leave with new insight into both technique and musical expression. Highly recommended.

From the very beginning, our daughter experienced an accelerated learning curve with Ceili’s thoughtful, structured, and encouraging approach. She brings a positive, engaging energy to every lesson and forms genuine connections with her students, which has made a huge difference in our daughter’s confidence and enthusiasm.
What stands out most is how Ceili inspires a love of music. She introduces a wide range of beautiful classical guitar pieces, and it’s been amazing to see (and hear!) how much our daughter has learned. After trying another teacher during a year away, our daughter lost interest in practicing—but as soon as she returned to Ceili, she was back to practicing daily with excitement.

I've been studying classical guitar with Ceili for 5 years. She helped me find a beautiful guitar - my most precious possession. Whenever I propose some crazy piece to work on, she's "OK, here's a way you could start on that project". Her guidance through the music literature is excellent. I have progressed so much while working with her, it's quite wonderful! My lessons feel more like collaborating with a coworker than being directed by a teacher. My session with Ceili is a high point of my week!

I am an adult student of guitar. I took piano lessons (under four different teachers) for eight years as a kid, and almost seven years of guitar (I had two teachers before Ceili) more recently. I can say without reservation that Ceili is certainly one of the best teachers I have worked with on any instrument. Many people who play guitar advertise themselves as teachers, but Ceili is the real deal and seems to have had extensive pedagogical training. Not only does she select pieces for me to work on that are appropriate to my ability level and interests, she also provides exercises to improve my finger dexterity and flexibility. She also has excellent interpersonal skills and is always positive and encouraging.
